What I offer my patients

Compassionate care. It embodies my practice as a holistic physician.
I believe in the body’s ability to heal and strive to help bring about that healing with natural therapies. At the heart of my practice lies a standard and philosophy of care guided by these naturopathic principles:

  • Do No Harm
  • Identify and Treat the Cause
  • Remove Obstacles to Cure
  • The Healing Power of Nature
  • Doctor as Teacher
  • Treat the Whole Person

“Treating the Whole Person” may be the single most important principle in caring for my patients. Understanding a patient’s challenges physically, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually allows me to identify the root cause(s) and assess the best course treatment.

Every patient has their own unique constitution. Every patient is treated with this understanding .

How I got here

My love and inspiration for holistic healing began with illness. In my early 20’s, I began suffering from chronic urinary tract infections (UTI). My career at the time was in marketing and sales and my inability to leave the house was more than an inconvenience to say the least.

My medical doctors (OB/GYN and urologist) treated me conventionally with a daily antibiotic regimen and minor surgery. These treatments provided only temporary relief, so I sought the help of many holistic doctors; acupuncturists, naturopathic doctors and holistic medical doctors. All helped to some degree but my true healing came in the form of a homeopathic remedy. The remedy not only improved my physical symptoms, but my mental/ emotional symptoms as well, which were actually the cause of the UTI’s. This was my first experience with mental/ emotional stressors manifesting in physical illness. It was profound. READ MORE...

At this time in my life, I wasn’t following my heart and listening to my inner voice.   Since I wasn’t listening or acting on my own inner guidance, my body was communicating to me through illness – something had to give.  I was unhappy in my marriage and while I had a good career with financial stability, I hated it.  It wasn’t me.  I felt like a fraud.  I was unhappy.

What that crazy journey taught me was to be true to myself.  I fell in love with natural medicine and wanted to help others get to the root of their illness and heal.  So I paid off all my debt, quit my job, got a divorce, started waiting tables at the local Italian restaurant and went back to school to get my Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine.  It was the best decision of my life.

Fast forward to today, I am passionate about helping my patients find their inner voice and do what is best for them.  I am a constant reader and seeker of growing and becoming all I can be.  I am an optimist and believe there is an answer for everything and we should never give up.  I believe in many forms of healing.  I believe in MIRACLES.  I believe all of my interactions with patients are sacred and I am honored to share in each and every journey.

What we can do together

My highest goal is to educate and empower my patients to move forward in their lives and be as healthy and happy as they can possibly be.

I care if your asthma flares every time the anniversary of your Dad’s death comes. You are experiencing that grief all over again and your body is speaking to you. Treating the lungs with a homeopathic remedy or flower essence could make all the difference in the world for you.

I care if you keep getting sinus infection after sinus infection with only temporary relief from conventional treatments. I will work to uncover the cause with you so we can stop the constant prescriptions of antibiotics and get a plan in place to treat for cure.

I care about all of you –

  • Your strong vital body
  • Your emotional well being
  • Your peaceful, trusting mind
  • Your joyful empowered self

If you want to heal through natural therapies, I would be honored to be your doctor and coach on your journey.
